What Suits Me

Our office has never been strict with attire, provided that you put on a decent polo and pants at least when you go on client calls. But on ordinary days, I just show up in plain collarless t-shirt and three-day-old pair of jeans and white sneakers. Heck, we’re an advertising agency after all. Never mind that I’m actually part of a separate PR department, and that my designation as “accounts manager” seems to oblige me to don something more decent everyday like the others under Accounts. I feel I still belong under Creatives, although its been almost 10 years since my last stint in genuine advertising. I’m just not keen enough to invest in clothing, especially formal.
So when this one Japanese client was to hold a business seminar at the Shangri-La Hotel, my boss instructed me to show up ….
